    Interests

My research is orientated towards the more commonly observed nociceptive pain pathway, with a specific interest in inflammation. Using both in silico screening (docking models) and in vitro (electrophysiology) to validate findings. The overall aim of my PhD project is to identify potential 'druggable' pocket(s) and novel small molecule chemical scaffolds as potential, selective inhibitors of acid-sensing ion channel 3 (ASIC3).
