Barbara Sahakian, Fellow of Clare Hall and Professor of Clinical Neuropsychology in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Cambridge, was recently awarded the Sir Paul Curran Award at the City University Bayes Business School. The award is for those who have made exceptional contributions to The Conversation, an independent news source that publishes reliable and informed content by academic experts.

Professor Sahakian was recognised by senior editors for her “many excellent and very well-read contributions over a decade, that [she] understood the difference in writing style required and brought interesting ideas, but also we welcomed and appreciated [her] collegiate attitude co-authoring with others and the encouragement [she] had shown younger researchers.”

Several of Professor Sahakian’s articles published on The Conversation have received thousands of readers, and they all touch on highly relevant areas in neuropsychology that are relevant to daily life.
