CamBRAIN, the Cambridge Neuroscience Society, is committed to fostering collaboration and communication amongst its members, appreciating the diversity of research and interests that fall under the umbrella of this rapidly expanding and exciting field of neuroscience. With over 1000 members, CamBRAIN remains one of largest student neuroscience societies in the UK. In addition to academic talks, presentations and workshops intended for personal/career development, CamBRAIN runs a series of social and public engagement events which allow our members to share experiences and build successful networks.
At postgrad level specifically, we are lucky to have a very engaged and active community – we regularly have our own events as part of CamBRAIN. I think feeling part of something bigger is really important to stay motivated, and Cambridge Neuroscience certainly ticks that box – I am loving my time here.Ailie McWhinnie, current PhD student
Being a psychology undergraduate student, I have definitely found a place for myself within the Cambridge Neuroscience community. The ability to engage with the early careers society (CamBRAIN) and attend the events has really brought me a lot of insight – regarding all things neuroscience, as well as postgraduate opportunities and academic career paths!Oliwia Stecko, Part II Psychology 2023
