BBSRC Impact Acceleration Account (IAA): Flexible Mobility Award (FTMA)

This funding is awarded to the University on an annual basis. If the funding is available, calls will likely open in December 2023/January 2024.

Who can apply:

• Technicians at all levels (Facility Managers, Technical Officers, etc).
• Research Assistants, Postdoc Researchers, Principal Investigators at all career levels (PhD Students are not eligible).

Awards: TBC (the last round was up to £15,000).

Project duration:

• Short term (day releases).
• Longer term (up to 6 months).

What we fund:

• Placements in industry, policy agencies, NGOs, charities and spin outs, to embed new research findings, understand the partner’s challenges, skills development or relationship building,
• Support for training and career development needs, such as training courses needed to fill skills gaps.
