Applications are now open for PhD students and Postdocs at the University of Cambridge to join a 5 week training programme developed by the Accelerate Programme and Cambridge Spark to learn how to use data science in their research. The course runs for 5 weeks from 16 October – 17 November and combines taught classes, individual mentorship, and self-study on topics including Python, data processing and visualisation, Web Scraping, JSON and APIs and an introduction to machine learning. The course aims to give researchers in fields outside computer science the skills they need to use machine learning (ML) in their research, and help them apply data analysis to their own datasets and problems. On the course, you will: use data science techniques on your own datasets and research questions; collaborate on real-world data science challenges in teams; and contribute to a world-leading community of scientists and researchers.

The Accelerate Programme are offering 50% funding for this cohort reducing the cost to participants to £1,050 + VAT.

Visit the course page to find out more and fill in this form to apply.

Registration closes at 5pm on Friday 8 September.
