Vision and Mind: A Symposium in honour of Horace Barlow

When

December 16, 2022 - December 17, 2022

Description

You are invited to attend Vision and Mind: A Symposium in Honour of Horace Barlow, which will be held on Friday 16th December 2022 at the Physiology, Development and Neuroscience Department.

Horace Barlow was one of the great figures of modern neuroscience, best known for his pathbreaking contributions to visual neurophysiology, psychophysics, and brain theory. More than any of his contemporaries, Barlow’s work has a continuing influence on modern neuroscience.

There is an excellent programme, with a world class line up of speakers. We anticipate an oversubscribed audience, and we especially welcome registrations from Early Career Researchers. For further information regarding the programme, registration terms and conditions, please see here.

An evening reception will take place at the Zoology Museum following the conference, which is included in your registration. A conference dinner will be held in Trinity College on Saturday 17th December (please note that an additional cost will apply, and limited places are available).

This event is being run in conjunction with Cambridge Neuroscience with generous support from the Gatsby Foundation, the Rank Prize, Trinity College, the British Neuroscience Association and the Department of Physiology, Development and Neuroscience.
