KATIE BIRDITT AWARDED ‘THE BNA UNDERGRADUATE PRIZE ’

Katie Birditt was awarded the BNA Undergraduate Prize at the recent British Neuroscience Association Festive Symposium in London for her work during her final year at University of Roehampton.

Katie is now one of the 16 student cohort of the Cambridge Neuroscience MPhil in Basic and Translational Neuroscience. As well as being busy with her degree, she spends time writing for Women in Neuroscience UK and the BNA, while also being a member of the CamBRAIN committee.

Katie is due to start her project in the lab of Dr Leo Chouliaras and Professor John O’Brien in January 2024, where she will be investigating the use of blood biomarkers for the early and differential diagnosis of dementia in the Department of Psychiatry.
