Luisa Fassi was recently awarded the ‘Youth Mental Health Prize’ from Il Circolo Italian Cultural Association at the Italian Embassy in London for her research and public outreach.

Luisa is a MRC-DTP PhD student working at the MRC Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit and the Department of Psychiatry, co supervised by Amy Orben and Tamsin Ford. Her research uses a mixed-method approach to map the relationship between social media use and youth’s mental health. Specifically, she analyses data from large-scale national surveys to examine the link between social media use and mental health in adolescence, and complement this with qualitative research. Overall, she aims to map the complex interplay between digital technologies and youth’s mental health to inform clinical research, practice, education, and policy.

Congratulations Luisa!
