Amber Ruigrok is a Lecturer in Psychology at the University of Manchester and a Visiting Researcher at the Autism Research Centre, Dept of Psychiatry. Amber's PhD research at the University of Cambridge investigated how testosterone and variation in the androgen receptor may be involved in the development of sex differences in human brain white matter in the typically developing population. Currently, Amber's work is driven by equality, diversity and inclusion and is keen to collaborate on projects combining improving people's lives around the topics of reproductive health (puberty, menstruation, pregnancy, menopause and related reproductive health conditions), mental health, and diversity (neuro-, sex and gender, and ethnic / race / cultural diversity).
