We're building Bluehive, a large-scale neural network computer, aimed at simulating millions of neurons in real time on custom (FPGA) hardware. We're collaborating with the universities of Manchester, Sheffield and Southampton as part of the BIMPA project (Biologically Inspired Massively Parallel Architectures), which includes the building of the 1-million processor SpiNNaker machine at Manchester. We aim to offer high-speed high-capacity neural network computation as a service to neuroscience researchers.
