    Interests

Injuries to the brain, spinal cord, and eyes have devastating consequences due to the limited regenerative capacity of adult neurons in the central nervous system (CNS). My research focuses on gene therapy and regenerative neurobiology, contributing to the following areas: 1) Developmental neurobiology: Investigating neuronal maturation and its impact on intrinsic axon growth. 2) Gene therapy: Optimising the delivery of transgenes to the nervous system using adeno-associated viral vectors. 3) Axon regeneration: Identifying and validating potential targets to promote axon regeneration in CNS neurons.
