    Interests

My research interests focus on understanding how our brains change in response to challenging sensory environments. These change mechanisms can be very short term and flexible (e.g. helping us to focus on one object in a cluttered environment) or they can reflect learning new visual skills (e.g. a doctor learning to detect anomalies in scans). I use combinations of neuroimaging with brain stimulation technologies to help us pick apart the specific contributions of different brain regions and networks to adaptive vision.
