My research interests include perception, learning and memory, attention and consciousness. I investigate the influences of top-down prior experience and bottom-up primary sensory signals during visual perception. I aim to understand the brain circuitry and the role of Gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) in these processes. This work has translational application for gaining insight into perceptual neurodiversity including in Autism and Schizophrenia.
