    Interests

My research interests centre on understanding and targeting the molecular and cellular mechanisms of acute brain injury, with a particular focus on mitochondrial dysfunction and neuroinflammation following traumatic brain injury (TBI). My work involves development of in vitro models of TBI to investigate these secondary injury processes, identify biomarkers, and aid clinical translation of novel neuroprotective agents.
