I'm interested to see what's happening in the brain during settings that humans come across in their everyday lives. My current research is about applying new brain imaging technologies to better understand the link between age-related hearing loss and cognitive decline. I began working as a postdoctoral researcher at Cambridge in 2023. Previously, I was a Research Fellow at University College London where I developed and tested new methods to to study baby brain development. I received my PhD in Medical Imaging & Neuroimaging from University College London in 2021. In addition to research, I love science communication. In 2023, I was awarded a Media Fellowship by the Association of British Science Writers and placed at the BBC Audio Science Unit. I will be delivering the Award Lecture in Digital Innovation at the British Science Festival 2024. I also perform science comedy, and have performed at events including Green Man Festival and UK Science Comedy Festival. (Photo credit: Ian Bowkett)
