I am interested in understanding lifelong oligodendrocyte dynamics in the mammalian brain. For my PhD, by investigating when and where new oligodendrocytes are formed across different brain regions, I aim to generate a map of oligodendrogenesis throughout life. Further, I am interested in understanding how brain oligodendrogenesis changes upon learning and when oligodendrocyte progenitor cell-to-neuron communication is disrupted.
