During my PhD I investigated the role of astrocytes in synaptic plasticity in the Neocortex. I then investigated the potential signaling role of lactate released by astrocytes in Locus Coeruleus. My next project was on Huntington's Disease in the striatum. At King's College London my research was on role of RNA-binding proteins in neurodegenerative diseases. I have also worked on the Peripheral Nervous System, more specifically on the role of Dorsal Root Ganglion in pain signaling. I have used mainly electrophysiology, Confocal Imaging and immunohistochemistry in my research.
