A Research Associate post is available to start as soon as possible in the Drosophila Connectomics Group directed by Greg Jefferis and Matthias Landgraf in the Department of Zoology at the University of Cambridge.
Applicants will have a dual remit to carry out scientific research and assist in the smooth running of the group (up to 20% FTE). The research focus is electron-microscopy connectomics by proofreading and analysis of automatically segmented reconstructions of neurons and their connectivity, performing graph/circuit analyses etc. to obtain biological insight. A background in neurobiology with experience in Drosophila neuroanatomy, connectomics and some quantitative preparation is expected.
