Dr Maura Malpetti is looking for an enthusiastic Research Assistant to join the Centre for Frontotemporal Dementia at the Cambridge University Department of Clinical Neurosciences. The post is part of a Race Against Dementia funded program to investigate inflammation in frontotemporal dementia and accelerate the development of treatments for dementia. To this end, we are initiating a UK-wide Open Network for Frontotemporal dementia Inflammation Research (ON-FIRE).

As a Research Assistant, you will coordinate the network activities, site recruitments, samples delivery, optimization of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion across the network, and facilitate Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement activities. You will contribute towards the smooth running of projects based in Cambridge, helping in recruitment, assessment data collection supported by experienced scientists, clinicians and research nurses.

Experience in research studies of dementia or mental health disorders would be advantageous but is not essential. You will collaborate within a balanced team with post-doctoral scientists, clinical fellows, research nurses and students to ensure efficient research activities across the center.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 24 months in the first instance.
