Science Without Anguish – a new blog series on the psychology of wellbeing and productivity in research life
This series of 10 blog articles from Michael Coleman discusses dealing with the ups and downs of research life, using psychological insights to boost wellbeing and to remain calm and rational so we can do our best science. Topics will include building resilience, the hidden power of humility, understanding and managing overwhelm, procrastination, multiple routes to ‘success’ and how to handle being ‘scooped’.
These are likely to be useful to many in the Cambridge Neuroscience community. The articles are being posted every Monday at: https://www.sciencewithoutanguish.com
Illustrations are from Alice White, who many will remember as a former president of CamBRAIN.
If you find any of these useful, please share them with colleagues, post a comment on the blog site with any further thoughts on these topics and/or send feedback to Michael at mc469@cam.ac.uk
