Professor Petra Vértes has been awarded the Gill Prize for Bimolecular Science this year together with Drs. Jabudon, Lee, Murphy, van den Heuvel – for “exceptional contributions in Connectome research”.
Petra is a Professor in the Department of Psychiatry, where she leads the Systems and Computational Neuroscience group. Her research applies tools from physics, engineering and network science to fundamental problems in neuroscience and mental health. In particular, she is interested in the structure-function relationship in brain networks, from the microscopic scale of neurons to the large-scale connectivity of brain regions, in both health and disease.
Congratulations Petra from all of your colleagues!
