Funding Call OPEN: BBSRC International Impact and Knowledge Exchange Award 2024

Funding for International Impact and Knowledge Exchange projects within BBSRC remit 

The University’s BBSRC International Impact and Knowledge Exchange Award 2024 is now open to fund the strengthening or initiation of international partnerships that support impact and knowledge exchange.

• Awards: up to £20,000 per application (for larger requests please contact iaa@admin.cam.ac.uk)
• Project start date:  8 January 2024 – 31 March 2024*
• Project duration: up to 5 months, with all activity and expenditure completed by 28 June 2024
• Deadline for applications: 16 February 2024 

*This funding can be used retrospectively to cover recent eligible activity starting from 8 January 2024 

Who can apply? 

PIs and ECRs employed by the collegiate University and working within a department, with project proposals within the BBSRC remit. All applications must involve a group leader, either as lead applicant or co-applicant. Previous/current BBSRC funding is NOT a requirement.

What activities can be funded?

Examples include but are not limited to:

• Incoming and outgoing international visits for knowledge exchange, relationship building or skills development, including with partners in policy, industry and third sector.
• Activities which aim to impact on international policy, business or third sector practice
• Validation of technology/process/prototype/models in a relevant environment abroad
• Attending or hosting innovation summits/multistakeholder workshops with international partners to understand the needs of a particular sector.
