My research concentrates on positron emission tomography (PET) methodology, with particular emphasis on the quantitative accuracy of the physiological parameters derived from the data. Current research themes are: parametric mapping using basis functions; spatio-temporal image reconstruction for kinetic analysis; direct parameter estimation; wavelet-based kinetic analysis; 4D motion compensated image reconstruction; MRI-based motion correction for PET/MRI scanners; image optimisation using automated observers; automated region-of-interest definition; attenuation correction for PET/MRI scanners.
